Beauty Report: Hot Hollywood Hair

We’re two girls who go back and forth with our hair…craving bangs and long locks one day and turning gears towards something short and sassy the next. Never ones to take our hair styles too seriously, we’re not afraid of changing it up…and you shouldn’t be either!  This year, we’ve seen a number of celebs take to the scissors (take Emma Watson for example…does it get cuter than her!?), while others have chosen to maintain their classic long locks or ahem, extensions.  One style that’ll never let you down? Mid-length, shoulder-grazing strands.  After all, if a midi-length gets us closer to looks like Brookyln Decker’s, you can bet we’re in.

Design Inspiration: Lux Living Room

Recently, Anna put together a little “design inspiration” as a work assignment. Take a look and tell us, what runway looks are inspiring your environment?

“Perhaps no two subjects are more closely related than fashion and decor. What we choose to wear and how we fill our favorite spaces is a true reflection of ourselves, our interests and our own personal style. When I recently came across this look from the spring/summer 2012 Balmain runway, I was instantly inspired. I love the decadence of the gold embroidery, the carefully structured cut and the cowboy-meets-gladiator belt buckle. Although gold stilettos would have made for an obvious pairing, designer Olivier Rousteing added unexpected edge with black boots. I was inspired to recreate the look in the form of a sophisticated, neutral, living room, adorned with rich, gold accents. The touch of black makes things less formal and more funky.”
